Level 2 IVQ Diploma in Food Preparation & Cooking (CULINARY ARTS)(8065-02)

OVERVIEW

This skills diploma provides more practice involving a broader range of skills appropriate to a person operating as a front line worker with some supervisory responsibilities in a kitchen environment of a typical service outlet. This programme is suitable for school leavers with a passion for the culinary arts, amateur chefs and those who are already working in the hospitality industry

Additional generic units are introduced such as budgeting, menu planning and dietary requirements.

DURATION
Six (6) months

MODULE 
Safety at work and in preparation of food, healthy eating and special diets, costing and menu planning and the preparation, cooking and finishing of a wide range of commodities and dishes.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
18-35 years old and completed City & Guilds Level 1 IVQ Certificate in Food Preparation and Cooking (8065-01)

CERTIFICATION
